What is Cerafy™ Clear NP Boost?

Cerafy™ Clear NP Boost is a unique and innovative liposome technology built on a combination of ceramide-loaded liposomes with a biomimetic polymer. It is supplied as a transparent liquid, water-soluble and is cold-processable.

On the surface of the skin, the novel and unique combination of biocompatible polymer with Ceramide NP-loaded liposome forms a film enabling targeted and sustained ceramide release deep into the stratum corneum for an optimised activity. It also prevents liposomes from coalescing, which is what keeps the formulation clear.

Testing & Clinical Data

In vivo study: moisturisation, barrier repair, soothing and anti-wrinkle activity (6-week)

A six-week in vivo study was conducted on 30 volunteers aged 18 to 60, applying a lotion containing 2% Cerafy™ Clear NP Boost twice daily, tested against both placebo and untreated skin.

In vitro testing on a 3D reconstructed skin model (EpiKutis®) demonstrated significant improvements in skin moisturisation, barrier protein expression (filaggrin, loricrin and transglutaminase 1), soothing activity and antioxidant protection.
