Expanding our excipient portfolio
As part of this partnership, several Boai NKY excipients will be joining the HARKE UK & Ireland pharmaceutical and nutraceutical portfolio:
KoVidone® K (Povidone / PVP)
KoVidone® K grades are versatile pharmaceutical and nutraceutical excipients offering excellent binding, film-forming, dispersing, and solubilising properties. They are suitable for a wide range of applications including tablet binding, granulation, coating, and solubilisation in both solid and liquid dosage forms.
PolyKoVidone® (Crospovidone)
A highly effective super-disintegrant, providing rapid tablet disintegration through strong swelling and capillary action. PolyKoVidone® is widely used in immediate-release formulations and is valued for its ability to improve dissolution performance without compromising tablet integrity.
KoVidone® VA64 (Copovidone / PVP/VA copolymer)
KoVidone® VA64 combines excellent binding and film-forming properties with enhanced solubility performance, making it suitable for applications such as tablet binders, coatings, taste-masking systems, and solid dispersions aimed at improving bioavailability.
KoVidone® I (Povidone-Iodine / PVP-I)
A broad spectrum biocidal, antifungal and antiviral agent with extremely low risk of promoting microorganism resistance.
NKY® 2-P (Pyrrolidone)
Used as an intermediate in the manufacture of polymers such as polyvinylpyrrolidone and polypyrrolidone, and used as solubiliser for drug actives in injectable liquid products.
These products all complement OraRez®, Boai NKY’s established PVM/MA-based polymer technology, that is already supplied by HARKE UK & Ireland for bioadhesive, controlled-release, and solubilisation applications.
