Hose Free Car Wash Formulations

‘Hose  Free’ car wash formulations are now very high in demand in the car cleaning industry as both companies and consumers become more and more conscious of environmental change and reducing their water consumption wherever possible. Water shortages and hosepipe bans have been in place for the majority of the summer and they’re predicted not to let up any time soon – as we saw the driest July in nearly 90 years and with many parts of the UK given a drought status.

Add to the mix the current cost-of-living crisis and sky-high energy bills – every saving truly counts. Chemlink Specialities is proud to share two hose-free car wash formulations that our team of experts have been developing. Both work by applying the formulation on a cloth and simply wiping clean. There’s no need to use additional water or rinse the vehicle off afterwards – helping users to reserve water, save money and save time!

 

Hose-Free Car Wash 23E

This formulation provides an easy to produce car wash; the formulation is stabilised and it works by lifting dirt and leaving a shiny surface. It is best used with a microfibre cloth.

FloSoft FS 222 Chemlink/SNF Floerger	0.3%
Link 706 Chemlink	0.25%
Preventol D2 Chemlink/Lanxess	0.1%
Water	To 100%

 

Method

1. Blend the Linksil HG together with the Flexipel Q-50 and Preventol D2.
2. Separately, mix together the Mackamine CS and the Link 706 in the formulation amount of water and mix until clear.
3. Once clear, slowly pour this into the Linksil/Flexipel blend and mix well until homogenous.
4. Finally, add the FloSoft FS 222 and allow to thicken the formulation up slightly.

 

 

Hose-Free Car Wash 24

Another formulation that enables users to wash their car without using water, simply apply the formulation using a cloth and then wipe clean, leaving a glossy, high-beading finish.

Method

1. Disperse the Fragrance in the Linksil-HG, Flexipel Q-50 and Addwax C-340 until solubilised.
2. Next, slowly add the formulation amount of water, followed by the Mackamine CS and Preventol D2.
3. Finally, add the FloSoft FS 222 and allow to thicken.
