We had a fantastic time at this year’s SCS Formulate exhibition in Coventry, showcasing innovative ingredients from Carrubba, LABIO, LANXESS, Sinerga, Syensqo, Verdant and more in our Rheology Playground. If you didn’t catch us, here’s a quick run-down of everything you need to know!
Sensory Fun with Formulations
From strawberry daiquiri sorbet body wash to wibble wobble washes, our formulations this year had a real ‘wow’ factor, celebrating the impact of great textures, visuals and fragrances.
We focused on three key areas:
- SEE: Bringing visual excitement and ‘shareability’ through bold colours, pearlescence, suspended biodegradable beads and more
- TOUCH: Novel textures, from jelly to sorbet and lightweight oils, that help make formulations memorable
- SMELL: Building scents that spark emotion, from soothing botanicals and playful flavours to fragrances that last
We loved all your positive reactions to this year’s formulations, as people got the chance to dive in and try things for themselves at our ‘sensory bar’ (not to mention, the stand smelled amazing!):

Addpol® Colourants Car Wash
Also on stand, we featured a mini car wash to showcase our range of Addpol® polymeric non-staining dye colourants, inviting people to cover our little white car in brightly coloured foams and see how easily they wash off. Loads of visual impact, no staining!
Informative Presentations with Sam & Sinerga
Our two presentation slots at SCS Formulate 2025 were also packed full of innovations and ingredients.
Sam Wood, Technical Chemist at HARKE UK & Ireland, talked about the growing market for scalp care and the ingredients that make a real difference to formulation efficacy. Francesca Bernasconi from Sinerga talked about the Skin Longevity trend, looking at a new approach that moves beyond anti-aging to focus instead on preserving skin’s resilience and functioning at a cellular level.
